Race Based Trauma can affect couples in ways that they do not know. In this session, Akilah Riley-Richardson, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Relational Life Therapist, will support BIPOC couples to examine the ways that minority stress, historical trauma and other forms of race based trauma have resulted in negative dyadic coping and losing strategies in their relationships. Journal Therapy tools and other techniques will be used to help the couples to unveil the impact on their relationships and externalize race based trauma. Akilah will also teach central tools to move couples from negative dyadic coping to positive dyadic coping. She will help couples to strengthen their consciousness and their mutual cherishing. Only ten couples can participate so that the work is deep and fulfilling
